Copyediting

While our house style guide is The Chicago Manual of Style, 15e, we are accustomed to using a wide variety of style guides, including APA, MLA, AP, and many others. Proofreading

Character-by-Character Proofreading: In addition to checking spelling and other traditional proofreading functions, we will carefully check your page proofs against manuscript to ensure your manuscript converted properly. This stage is especially recommended for manuscripts containing high-level math, tables, or scientific symbols.

Editorial Proofread: For the highest-quality manuscripts, Publication Services suggests an editorial proofread rather than a traditional copyedit followed by a proofread.

Traditional proofreading: We check spelling, ensure proper page formatting, etc.

Indexing

Our indexers are trained to recognize the information most useful to your readers. All PS indexes are created by hand, copyedited, and verified by separate individuals.
